28/08/08. Our Wedding Day In Rarotonga
My name is Baden Maxwell and I have been happily married since August 2008. The memories and feelings of having to create and deliver my wedding speech are so vivid, the wedding – and especially having to give my speech – seem like it was just last week.
I can remember so clearly, the fear and nervousness I suffered in those weeks leading up to our wedding. The thought of having to get up in front of everyone and speak had me trembling with fear. The knots in my stomach, and that nauseating feeling of being so scared out of my mind that I was going to screw it all up and embarrass myself AND my beautiful bride, were overwhelming.
I’m SO grateful that I found something that really helped me create my perfect groom speech, and overcome my fear and nervousness about speaking in front of all those people.
So I decided to set this site up to help guys who are going through the same troubles I went through. It’s the ups, the downs, and then the one thing that finally helped me come up with something that everyone enjoyed.
When I was trying to create my speech, I had such a difficult time that I would’ve done ANYTHING, and taken ANY help whatsoever. I was so eager to give the best speech possible, that it actually made me stress right out. I was totally freaking out that I would make an ass out of myself, my family … And my poor wife!
Well in the end, I did find something that helped me deliver the best possible wedding speech I could have hoped for. My wife loved it, my parents and her family loved it. In fact, everyone loved it. Everyone commented on how relaxed and comfortable I looked speaking. They said it was the most entertaining, sweet and thoughtful groom speech they had heard in a long time.

So my site’s purpose is to provide you with my experiences, try to give you some advice and tips that I gained from my own wedding, and provide some resources that can really help you in your efforts to create your own knockout speech.
